• Resident house officer:2 years (Nov.1995-Nov.1997) as follows:
- 6 months in medicine: Al-Basrah teaching hospital.
- 3 months in general surgery: Al-Basrah teaching hospital.
- 3 months in obstetric and gynaecology: Al-Basrah maternity hospital.
- 3 months in orthopedics: Al-Basrah general hospital.
- 6 months in pediatrics : Al-Basrah maternity hospital.
- 1 month in ophthalmology .
- 1 month in ENT.
- 1 month in Intensive care unit.

• Fellow ship in pediatric 4 years (Nov. 1997-Dec.2001) as:-

• Member of teaching staff in pediatric department , College of Medicine, Basrah university as senior lecturer since May 2002, as a senior lecturer I provide regular teaching and training for both under and postgraduate students and I am one of the pediatrics examiners of Basra Medical College.

• Attending pediatric physician at Al- Mawani hospital since April 2002, and responsible of Nutritional rehabilitation ward from MAY,2002 till Dec. 2011.

• Attending pediatric physician at al-Basra maternity and children hospital, one of the 5 major public hospitals in Basra city.
It is a large pediatrics center which provides health services to a very large number of peoples. The center has 5 major units (general wards, emergency dept., neonatal care unit, and nutrition rehabilitation center and outpatient department). since Dec. 2011 to date.
